History

How it all began, WMSC History.

The Wolverhampton Masonic Study Circle, first formed in October 1925 under the Presidency of the R.W. Provincial Grand Master of Staffordshire, the 6th Earl of Dartmouth & operated for only two years.

In 1973, under the leadership of the late W.Bro. Jack Bryan, P.A.G.D.C., P.Pr.G.W., the present Study Circle was formed embracing the original aims :

“To promote interest in, and discussion on, the history and symbolism of the Craft, not to interfere with the work of Lodges of Instruction, or the rituals practised in Lodges”

The Committee is indebted to the dedicated past service of many members, to whom we are deeply grateful.

We feel sure they would share our hopes that the aims of the Circle are not only to advance our Masonic knowledge, but to encourage the enjoyment and interest of a wider circle of friends, and by greater representation among our Lodges / Orders.

Please make contact and come to one of our Meetings (see Web Site Calendar).

We feel confident you will want to be a part of our future plans.
